Not too much going on the last couple of days. Got some things done around the house yesterday. The kids have been great. Today Jaden did some funny things. He was crouched down next to Acacia in her bouncy seat and was asking her "Wanna drink?" and holding out his milk. He asked several times and she just smiled at him. So he decided that was a yes and put it in her lap, then said "Thank you". She played around with it for a minute but when it was obvious to him that she wasn't going to take a drink, he took it back and said "Welcome". Next he decided to share his train and put it in her lap. Well that didn't last too long. He took it back but did replace it with one of his cars. He even let her chew on it. For a few minutes he played with his train but then came back to Acacia asking her "Want apple juice?" What a funny boy! He sure was trying hard to share with her today. Hopefully he keeps that up.

Today he didn't want to go down for his nap until I told him that if he took his nap then he could go play with Kaleb tonight. He loves to play with Kaleb so that did it. I didn't hear a peep out of him after that.

Tonight we are going to the Trapps to celebrate Katy's birthday. It will be nice to sit around the campfire, roast smores, and then play some games.

Tomorrow I'm helping them out by taking Karissa to her Little league game. Keith is coaching Kyle's game that is at the same time. And Katy and the girls will be gone to the Christian Music day at the local water park. So they needed someone to take Karissa. I was happy to help them out. After that I may go join Melissa and her Sassy Scrappers group for some scrapbooking.

Well I'm off for now. I hear Jaden waking up from his nap. Time to let the toddler tornado out of his room! LOL

We go shopping?

Jaden kept asking this all weekend "We go shopping?" Not sure why he wanted to go shopping so much. He's so funny. Tonight I took him shopping with me to get Katy's birthday present and some groceries. He sang songs for me and was so entertaining. It was really cute. When we got home Acacia was screaming to be fed. Seems she didn't want to take the bottle for her Daddy even though it was breast milk and not formula. Guess she just prefers her Mommy.

At the lake Mom and Dad got this little blue car for free last year. Well this year it was perfect for Jaden. He climbed in and out of it all day. He also did laps around the picnic table in it. Boy was he dirty by the end of the day. I should have taken a picture of the bottom of his feet. They were almost black they were so dirty. He had a ball. Here's a picture of him in the little car.

Back Online!! Woo Hooo!!

Thursday morning the wireless card in my laptop decided it was no longer going to work. We tried several things and then realized it was a common thing that has happened with laptops like mine. So we had two options: Send my laptop in for repair and be without it for 2 weeks OR buy a wireless card for it. We thought about it over the weekend and I decided I didn't want to be without my computer that long. Since a wireless card was not that expensive we decided to go that route. So after Seann got off work today we went out and got one. I am quite happy about this.

A lot has gone on since my last post. I'll tell you more tomorrow about this weekend but short version, we had a great time. I love to go to Blue Lake. Seann, Acacia and I went over on Thursday night after Seann got off work. Mom and Dad had Jaden for the night and headed over Friday night after picking Melissa up after work. It was nice to have some quiet alone time before they got there. Seann and I were able to relax, enjoy our time with Acacia and even had time to sit down and talk. We stayed until Monday afternoon and headed back home with Acacia and Melissa. Then Mom and Dad brought Jaden back with them this afternoon when they came home. The traffic on the way home was just what we would expect for a holiday weekend. We slowed down about 10 minutes outside of Ellensburg and were crawling / stop-and-go for about an hour and a half. Once we got to the pass it picked up and after that it was no problem.

Melissa had a great time bonding with the kids this weekend. She and Jaden now have a little game where she says "Don't look at Auntie" and he says "Don't" and sneaks a peek at her. This cracks him up. They did this all weekend, it was quite cute. Acacia and Melissa had a lot of snuggle time and even took a nap together on the couch one afternoon. Melissa feed Acacia some banana baby food and had fun with that. Acacia is starting to get the hang of it and doesn't spit that much out anymore.

The kids had doctor appointments on Thursday afternoon. Jaden checked out a-ok and is doing well. Thankfully he didn't have shots this time. No more shots for him until he's 4. Acacia has been following her own little curve since she was born. This time she has fallen off of it a little on her weight and head circumference. Her height was good though. She now weighs 13 pounds. The doctor wants to try a new approach with bulking her up. We had been trying to give her rice cereal mixed with formula but she wasn't really liking that. She'd look at us like "what are you putting in my mouth". So we decided to start giving her some of the sweet first foods like bananas and sweet potatoes. If she likes those then we'll start mixing the rice cereal in with that to help give her the extra calories she needs. So far the banana is working so we'll see how she does with that.

Well off to do a few more things before bed tonight. Mom is coming to watch the kids tomorrow afternoon so I can go to ladies group. I'll try to post more about our weekend tomorrow. For now here's a picture from this weekend.

Please be in prayer for the Chapman Family

It was sad news that I woke to this morning. Sadly the youngest daughter of Steven Curtis Chapman and his wife Mary Beth was killed yesterday in a tragic accident. Apparently one of her teenage brothers was backing out of the driveway and did not know she was behind him. She was struck by the car and unfortunately later died of her injuries at the hospital. I cannot imagine the pain that this family is going thru. One blessing in this is that they are Christians and we know that Maria is with Jesus. Please be praying for this family. Here is the information that they have on their website. Maria is the one sitting on Steven's lap in the photo.

MARIA SUE CHAPMAN, DAUGHTER OF STEVEN CURTIS CHAPMAN, DIES IN ACCIDENT AT FAMILY HOME
NASHVILLE, TN...5/21/08... At approximately 5pm on the afternoon of Wednesday May 21st, Maria Sue Chapman, 5 years old and the youngest daughter to Steven and Mary Beth Chapman was struck in the driveway of the Chapman home in Franklin, TN. Maria was rushed to Vanderbilt Childrens Hospital in Nashville, transported by LifeFlight, but died of her injuries there. Maria is one of the close knit family’s six children and one of their three adopted daughters.

DAVID COOK WON!!!

I AM SO EXCITED RIGHT NOW!!! DAVID COOK WON AMERICAN IDOL!!!!!

Sorry just had to share that with everyone. I just love his voice!

Well back to packing for me. I'm just finishing up packing for the lake. Tomorrow both kids have doctor appointments. Mom will be coming with me to help out. Hopefully we'll see that Acacia has started to go above the curve that she has been following.

Don't know if I'll be able to post over the weekend so this might be my last post till Tuesday. If I don't post, then I hope you all have a wonderful and safe Memorial Day weekend!

Grey, Grey, Grey

Well the sunshine is gone and the grey is back. Oh how I long for summer.

Jaden was my little buddy today. He likes to sit on my lap while I'm working on the computer. Sometimes he likes to bring his cars up on to the table with him and sometimes he likes to sit with me and sing. Today it was alot of singing. We sent thru many choruses of The Wheels on the Bus, Old MacDonald and of course his favorite Happy Happy Home. It goes:

With Jaden in the Family, Happy, Happy Home
Happy, Happy Home, Happy, Happy Home
With Jaden in the Family, Happy, Happy Home
All the live long day

He just sings his little heart out. Each day he learns more and more of the song.

Well tomorrow is Bible study with my lady friends. We are celebrating Katy's birthday by going to Red Robin for lunch. Mom will be coming to watch the kids while I go, like normal. I sure do appreciate her watching the kids for me once a week so I can have some time to myself. It's nice to get out with my friends and also be able to run some errands if I have to. The few hours away helps to recharge me. Thanks Mom!!!

Evolution of Dance

Ok I was only going to post once today but I couldn't help it when I saw this video. I was cracking up. Hope you enjoy it.

Lovin' the sunshine!

I am loving all this sunshine we are having!! It's been nice to open up the windows and screen door to let some fresh air in the house. Summer is my favorite season and I have been missing it very much.

We just got home from church a little bit ago. Jaden is down for his nap. Acacia is laying on her tummy on the floor, practicing getting up on her hands and knees. She doesn't have them quite in sync yet but it looks like that's not too far down the road. She doesn't mind her tummy time like Jaden did. He would put up such a fit when you put him down for tummy time.

Today before church Seann went out and mowed the lawn. Acacia was asleep on the floor and Jaden was watching Bunnytown. So since everyone was occupied I got on the computer for a little bit. A few minutes later I looked over and saw Jaden laying on the floor next to Acacia, rubbing her belly very sweetly. I was able to sneak the camera out and get a few cute pictures.

How cute are they?! I think we might go out later to a nearby school and let Jaden play on their playground while it's still nice outside.

We had a great time at Jessie's birthday party last night. We hung out by the firepit for a while chatting and making s'mores while the kids jumped on the trampoline. Then we let Jessie open her presents and had some cheesecake. It was a great night just hanging out with our friends. Michele has been down with shingles and was finally feeling better. I am so glad she was able to come, I've missed her so much!

This week is lunch with the ladies (Red Robin for Katy's birthday), doctor appointments for both kids, and getting things ready for the lake. Seann was able to get Friday off work. Blue Lake here we come!!!

Jumping in with both feet!!

Well I decided that it's time that I start blogging, so I'm jumping in with both feet!

Not too much new today, just trying to stay cool. It has been quite nice to have some warmer weather and sunshine. The grey has really been getting to me. I can't wait for summer and more time at the lake with the family. (I can't wait to see Jaden's reaction to the new golf cart next weekend!)

Jaden just got up from a short nap and is now playing with Acacia. My "techie" (Seann) is trying to figure out why the DVD player isn't playing Jaden's video (VeggieTales Silly Songs). I definitely can't help him there, I have no idea how he's got this thing hooked up. I can never watch a DVD when he's gone because I can't remember how it's got to be set up. This has to be set as that on the surround sound, the satellite has to be turned off, and you have to turn around 3 times while jumping on one leg! Ok well it's not that complicated but I've never been able to remember how to do it. Oh well I guess it's just FoodNetwork, HGTV and TLC for me.

Acacia and I are going to take some "girl time" and head out to Target before Jessie's birthday party tonight. We are having a campfire in their backyard and playing games. It should be a fun night. I just love roasting marshmallows on the campfire. Plus the kids just love having Jaden over to play. He's doing a good job learning to share although he still has his moments. But he just loves playing with them, especially Kaleb. Kaleb is his buddy lately. The last two Wednesday's we've had ladies bible study at my house because Mom & Dad were out of town and Mom couldn't watch the kids. So Kaleb came along and played with Jaden. He was on Cloud 9! We'll have to have Kaleb over more often for play days.

Well I've got to take off now and clean the glass shades to our dinning room now. Seann just got them down for me. I think he feels bad about being gone all week and is doing lots of chores around the house today. He was in CA Sun-Fri for some training for work. His flight was scheduled early enough on Sunday that he was able to go to Disneyland and California Adventure for the afternoon and evening. He had a blast but wished the family was with him.

How cute! Jaden is dancing to his video now!! Won't be long before he learns these songs too!
