I know....I'm a slacker

Ok I know, I know....I'm a slacker. It's been almost a week since I've posted last. So what's been going on you ask...well....

Saturday started off with going to get my blood drawn. I hate getting my blood drawn! But thankfully they got me in and out quickly. Then I was home for a few hours before Keith dropped Karissa off. I was helping them out by taking Karissa to her Little League game. It started to sprinkle a little bit before the game but it never did start raining. The kids were cute. They would get 4 pitches from the coach and if they still didn't hit one they would bring out the T for them to hit the ball off of. I was surprised how many of them did hit the ball without the T. (Though there was a fair amount of them that needed the T) Once they got the ball one of two things happened. Either they ran with the ball and the coaches were yelling at them "Throw the ball" or they had the ball and didn't know where to throw it. The coaches were yelling "Throw it to 1st". Bless their hearts they were trying.

After the game I came home and fed Acacia. Then packed up my laptop and Acacia and I headed for Melissa's. Her Sassy Scrapper group was meeting at her cabana for a day of scrapbooking. I had planned to spend the whole day there but that didn't work out. But I was glad that it worked out for me to go for the evening. I got a good head start of a project I'm working on. That felt great. Then I was blessed that they entered me in their "door prize" drawing and I won one of the prizes. It is this great message board from Creative Memories. I've hung it up on the wall already with a picture of Jaden hooked on it. I thought it would be great to put in our make-shift message center. We left there around 10pm and they were still scrapping. Way to go girls!!

Our Sunday started off as usual. Nice slow, easy going morning and then off to church. After church I found Seann and Jaden playing inside the large play structure. (Kind of like those at McDonalds. This one is 3 levels tall.) I surprised him by climbing all the way up to the top. Let me tell you it is not easy for an adult to squish inside those little tubes made for kids. You should have seen his face when I made it to the top! Well once at the top the way down is a covered tube slide. Of course it's not very tall so I had to kind of lay down going down. Well I tried to readjust halfway and ended up hitting my head on the top of the tube. I was cracking up by the time I got to the bottom. Kaylee and Kelsey were at the bottom, they couldn't believe I went down either.

Then we headed home to put Jaden down for his nap. Later in the evening Auntie Karen came to watch the kids while we went to a movie. Jaden was sure happy to see Auntie Karen! We went to see The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian. This movie is great!!!! We had used our free movie tickets but I told Seann I would have paid full price for this movie it was that good. We came home and had a nice time visiting with Auntie Karen before she headed home.

Monday was a relaxing day at home. Just playing and having fun. Tuesday Mom came to watch the kids for a little bit while I went to my doctor appointment. Things are going fine. In fact, my A1C turned out better than I thought it would. That result is in a percentage and it tells how I've been doing in the last few months with my glucose levels. When I was pregnant with Acacia I got it down to 6.1%, which is the best I have had it. Well I haven't been doing very well lately and have even gained back all the weight I lost while pregnant with her. Dang it!! So I thought my number would be in the upper of the 7% range. It was actually 6.5% which is good. My doctor was pleased with that.

Wednesday was lunch and bible study with the ladies. We went thru 1 Peter:3, the section about wives submitting to their husbands. I have not gone thru this in a long time. It was a good refresher but a hard reminder at the same time. I am a lot better than I used to be but it is a great reminder that there is aways room for improvement.

Wednesday evening I headed up to Burlington with Michele and Acacia. The traveling Disney Outlet is leaving in a few days so I thought I'd better go see what deals they had before they left. I got a few things and didn't spend too much money so I was pretty proud of myself. Then we went to dinner at Olive Garden. I was so excited to go there. Seann doesn't really care for Olive Garden so we don't go there much. He doesn't mind it but it's not one of his favorites. Unfortunately it is one of my absolute favorites! Can you say Pasta? I had an awesome dinner, Grilled Steak Lombardi. It was so good I ate every bite of it. (and probably too many bread sticks... there goes my good numbers....well you have to splurge every now and again!) Then we picked Kirsha up after her volleyball thing and I dropped them at home. It was sure nice to spend time with Michele. I've sure missed her lately.

Today Michele was babysitting a little girl named Clara. I think she is around 3 years old. So they came over to play for an hour or so. Jaden was very excited. It took Clara a little while to warm up to being here but then she had a good time playing. She seems to be kind of a shy girl from what I've noticed. But it was great for Jaden to get to play with another little kid. He's learning to share so the more time with other kids the better. He had a great time. He's just gone down for a nap so I think I'll head off and get some lunch. Then I've got to get some things done around here today.
